The Institute is made up of an international network of business professionals who come together to meet the needs of clients. Each Institute Associate has a particular specialty, and all are trained in our world class methods and tools.
Brett Johnson
Brett founded The Institute in 1996. Prior to that he was a partner at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and KPMG Peat Marwick. He spent the first 14 years of his career with Price Waterhouse in Cape Town and San Francisco. Brett is a Chartered Accountant. He has authored three books and numerous publications. Brett is passionate about integration -- seeing all aspects of life aligned, and doing away with dichotomy.
Lyn Johnson
Lyn co-founded The Institute in 1996. She has led her own an independent direct sales business for 16 years and has a team of 2,000 people. Lyn is passionate about people, developing women in business, single professionals (and how to get them unstuck) and hospitality.
Jodene Blackshaw
Jodene has a background in financial services and software development. She specializes in operations and program/project management. Past experience includes Standard Bank and Software Futures.
Rebecca Muir
Rebecca has a background in education and training. She focuses on curriculum development and operations.
Bob Norsworthy
Bob has extensive management experience across many cultures. He has led various technology-related businesses. His focus is on the US and the Pacific Rim. He is the author of The World at our Door.
Kim Daus-Edwards
Kim has held senior positions in corporate communications, has led her own businesses, and is an accomplished facilitator of learning. She has authored several books including Force of the Spirit. Her past experience includes positions at Intuit and Silicon Graphics.
Paul Busk
Paul is a CPA by background having worked at KPMG. He has extensive management experience and telecommunications industry experience.
Barend Cronje
Another KPMG alumnus, Barend is a Chartered Accountant who has spent many years in project management. His passion is translating ideas to implementation. He has developed a Program Management tool that is used extensively by government bodies and corporates in South Africa.
Willem Joubert
With an MBA and extensive corporate experience, Willem specialized in project management and transformation initiatives. He is based in South Africa.
Doug Johnson
Doug’s specialty is training and leadership development. He runs a business incubator that helps startups get through their initial stages.
